Day 3 (Wedding)
This is the main ceremony in a Royal Rajput Wedding.
(A) Baraat : The wedding party of the bridegroom arrive with stunning
tableau of elaborately caparisoned regalia of elephant, Camels, lines of
soldiers mounted on horse, a band of musicians, men holding oil torches
with an environment of pomp and color.
(B)
Wedding Procession : The guests lead to the entrance of the palace in
the form of (Baraat) procession where they are received by the waiting Bride's
family amidst flower petals and sprinkling rose water. A traditional welcome
of Baraat is held over here. The bridegroom dress in rajasthani wedding
attire carrying a sword arrives along with wedding party on elephant, he
is accorded a special welcome.
(C) Wedding Function : A Royal wedding function can be held at Charbagh
lawn in combination to the Diwan-E-Aam where the reception stage can be
made. The center Chaupar is covered with flower rangoli and here the Var
Mala with showering fire works is held. The Palace back drop is the best
memory that can be preserved, the food is laid in the charbagh garden.
(D)
Varmala and Pheras : The Bride enters from the front stairs of palace
and the groom enters from the opposite side they climb the Chaupar decorated
with flowers and exchange Var Mala with showering fire works is held. The
Palace back drop is the best memory that can be preserved, The Pheras are
performed under a pavilion by the priest.
